Raised in the Sandflat community outside Thomasville. Master pipe fitter, commercial pilot, and the man who ran WYNI radio in Monroeville. Chaplain for the Sheriff's Department. Foster parent. He has lived in District 68 his entire life, and he is running to give it a voice that can actually get something passed.

Meet Fred
Fred grew up in Sandflat, graduated from Thomasville High School, and earned his associate degree in business at Patrick Henry in Monroeville. He studied marketing at the University of Alabama and went on to teach natural gas qualifier courses through the university's College of Continuing Education.
He moved to Monroeville in 1980, joined the Chamber of Commerce, and owned and operated radio station WYNI. His working life has covered more ground than most: master pipe fitter, marketing and safety director at South Alabama Gas, commercial pilot, advanced underwater rescue diver, commercial truck driver, certified nursing assistant.
He has served on the Monroe County Economic Development Council, flown with the Alabama chapter of Pilots for Christ, served as chaplain for the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, and been a foster parent through Monroe County DHR.
I have always been here to help Monroe County. Today, I see we need a strong representative, and again, I am here.
Why he's running
Our people are leaving. Our jobs are leaving. District 68 has sent the same party to Montgomery since 1994, and we have less to show for it every year. It is time to send someone who can actually deliver for us.
Every year another class graduates and leaves, because the work is somewhere else. Fred spent his career in industry and served on the Monroe County Economic Development Council. He knows what it takes to get a plant to look at a rural county, and he knows we are not competing for them right now.
Republicans hold the overwhelming majority in both chambers. District 68 keeps sending a member of the minority party, then wonders why our roads, our water systems and our schools stay at the back of the line. Representation that can actually pass a bill is worth more than seniority in the minority.
Failing school grades and shrinking enrollment are the same problem wearing two hats. Fred has taught adult certification courses, fostered children through Monroe County DHR, and served as chaplain for the Sheriff's Department. He has seen what happens to a child the system gives up on.
Lower taxes, free enterprise, the Second Amendment, the sanctity of life and family, and a strong military. Fred qualified as a Republican because those are the convictions he has held his whole life, not because it was the convenient way onto a ballot.
